About The Position
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for our second shift, which runs from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating CNC Lathes and Mills to machine parts in aluminum. Our facility is equipped with Okuma 10 SS and Okuma 12 machines with OSB 300L Control, featuring sub-spindle live tooling. The machines include 3-Axis, 4-Axis, and 5-Axis configurations, and the lathes are equipped with bar feeders.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills.
- Working knowledge of Algebra and Geometry.
- Ability to perform metric to imperial conversions.
- General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
- Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
- Skilled in part inspection and accountable for part quality.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CNC Okuma and HAAS machines.
- OSHA 10-hour certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process inspection using calipers and micrometers.
- Make adjustments to offsets and programs as needed to maintain tolerances.
- Work off of blueprints.
- Accurately use shop math for checking parts.
- Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning and weekly/monthly coolant maintenance.
- Assist with deburring, tapping, and other tasks to ensure continuous part production.
- Maintain all associated paperwork for part production and company records.
- Observe and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
