About The Position
The CNC Machinist will work from pre-established programs and setup sheets with strong programming support available. This role involves performing machine setups, following G-code programs with edits as needed, conducting offsets and in-process inspections, and collaborating with the CNC Programmer. The machinist will also troubleshoot, adjust tools, and ensure machines run efficiently and safely. This position offers an opportunity for advancement as the company is in growth mode and will be adding day shift machinists soon.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of machining experience, preferably in a job shop environment working with large-scale parts
- Strong knowledge of G & M Code
- Experience with Heidenhain controls
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed setup instructions
- Skilled in setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and editing programs
Responsibilities
- Perform machine setups and follow G-code programs, making edits as needed
- Conduct offsets and in-process inspections to ensure accuracy and quality
- Collaborate closely with the CNC Programmer and follow established direction
- Troubleshoot, adjust tools, and ensure machines are running efficiently and safely
