About The Position

ProMach's HMC division is seeking a talented CNC Machinist. You’ll contribute to the success of the company by manufacturing parts according to drawings, maintaining raw material inventory in accordance with inventory control policies, and maintaining machinery through proper preventative maintenance. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year Manufacturing experience, preferably in a Custom Machine Shop environment desired
  • Excellent Safety practices and mindset
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to engage in multiple jobs simultaneously
  • Ability to read machine drawings/ blueprints
  • Ability to take direction and follow through with assignments as provided
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and maintain good attendance
  • Must be able to work well in a team and environment
  • Ability to do your own set-ups and produce quality parts from drawings with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Experience running Haas CNC equipment preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing parts according to drawings
  • Maintaining raw material inventory in accordance with inventory control policies
  • Maintaining machinery through proper preventative maintenance
  • Operating & programming Haas CNC mill and lathe machines safely and productively
  • Planning machining by studying detailed/complex blueprints and work orders; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD & T)
  • Downloading/editing programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches
  • Calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry; proving part programs
  • Verifying settings by measuring positions, first run part and sample work pieces
  • Partnering with engineering on R & D projects
  • Maintaining Quality Control through inspections
  • Keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly
