Requirements

  • 5+ years machining experience
  • Mechanical interest/aptitude
  • Good math skills
  • A willingness to learn and grow

Nice To Haves

  • A Highschool diploma/CNC technical diploma preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up all repeat jobs that are fully documented, ensuring consistency and adherence to established procedures.
  • Run first-piece parts to meet print specifications and validate setup accuracy.
  • Program CNC machines and perform edits to optimize performance and part quality.
  • Conduct manual inspections of parts using inspection sheets and established criteria.
  • Read and interpret blueprints at a medium to high level, applying inspection protocols and completing required documentation.
  • Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure precision and compliance with tolerances.
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously within a production cell to maximize efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced shop math, including trigonometry and geometry, to support machining operations and problem-solving.
  • Mentor and train operators to promote skill development and consistency in repetitive tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and team objectives.
  • Support Plant Leads in developing a culture of open communication, high feedback tolerance, and teamwork
  • Work in conjunction with Plant Leads, Plant Manager and Scheduling to achieve machine schedules and maintain productivity and quality goals
  • Act as point of contact for all technical questions in the plant during the shift
  • Communicate any personnel issues to Plant Leads/Plant Manager in order for them to follow up
  • Send out nightly status updates on all machines to Plant Leads, Plant Manager, Scheduling and Tool Crib Manager
