About The Position

J. Baur Machining is a family-owned manufacturing company with over 40 years of experience in precision machining and contract manufacturing. Located in Mars, PA, the company employs approximately 20 people and utilizes automated CNC technology with 18 CNC machines in a clean, climate-controlled facility. They specialize in Mazak Multi-Tasking equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to write basic programs using "G" and "M" code programming.
• Ability to edit CNC programs when necessary.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and have a strong understanding of dimensions and tolerances.
• Able to use a CMM to check parts.
• Complete 1st article of inspection.
• 3 plus years of experience as a CNC Machine Set-Up Operator.
• Team Player with a great attitude that can collaborate, train, and troubleshoot with colleagues.
• Must be able to pass a drug and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Mazak Multi-Tasking Equipment in the Mills and Lathes Department.
• Graduating from a Trade School is an added bonus, but years of experience in this trade is also honorable.

Responsibilities

• Perform job set-up on various CNC Equipment by reading and understanding job travelers and blueprints.
• Set up, edit, change tooling, and run first article inspection on machines before handing them off to operators.
• Clearly and patiently convey job details to coworkers.
• Assist in training Entry Level Machinists.
• Troubleshoot machines in a fast-paced environment.
• Oversee multiple machines at a time.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and keep the work area clean and organized.
