Requirements

Demonstrated proficiency in the set-up and operation of CNC machine centers or boring bars with minimum supervision.
Knowledgeable in the proficient and safe use of all required set-up and inspection equipment.
Ability to work from blueprints and verbal instructions.
Ability to select proper tooling, set up and operate machine.
Ability to determine speeds and feeds.
Ability to produce required product in accordance with acceptable standards of performance, quality and safety.
Understand G&M codes.
Ability to write CNC milling programs from a blueprint.
Ability to use inspection and measuring instruments including mics, bore gauges, calipers.
Ability to hold close tolerance work.
Ability to use simple shop math for checking speeds and feeds, surface footage, etc.
Ability to follow written set-up sheets and verbal set-up instruction.
Ability to use all support equipment for set-ups and inspecting parts.
Ability and willingness to learn GibbsCam software or conversational “at machine” programming.

Responsibilities
