About The Position

Pentair is hiring a CNC Machinist for its White Bear Lake, Minnesota team. The role involves setting up and operating CNC metal and plastic equipment, including CNC lathes and vertical milling equipment. The machinist inspects machined features to maintain quality and adjusts tooling and machines as needed. Work is performed in a team-based lean manufacturing environment at a climate-controlled facility, with safety as the top priority. The position is scheduled for first shift, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Candidates must be open to overtime on Fridays if needed. The hourly pay is $33.00, with an opportunity for a rate increase after developing specified skills and completing training. Actual pay may vary based on achievements, skills, and experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to set up and operate basic manual metal fabrication machines.
Ability to use calibrated precision measuring instruments.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to stand and work for 10 hours a day.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Openness to working overtime on Fridays if needed.

Nice To Haves

Associate or technical degree in a related field.
Five or more years of experience.
Gibbs Cam experience.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC lathes with live tooling and manual equipment to ensure timely flow of parts through the machine shop.
Perform CAD/CAM lathe programming; Gibbs Cam is preferred.
Adjust machines and tooling to maintain product quality.
Perform routine operator maintenance, including tool sharpening, machine oiling, fluid-level and air-pressure checks, and safety-switch checks.
Read and interpret machine shop blueprints.
Use measurement tools such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges, and attribute-style gauges.
Work in a team-based lean manufacturing environment with safety as the number-one priority.
