About The Position

This role performs precision machining operations, interprets technical drawings and process documentation, and ensures finished parts meet dimensional, quality, and customer requirements. Experience with manual machining equipment is a plus, and opportunities may be available to cross-train on manual machining operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machine tools and performing precision machining operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, process travelers, and technical specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments and dimensional inspection techniques.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation.
  • Experience with manual machining equipment is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and cross-train on manual machining operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with both CNC and manual machining operations.
  • Experience operating manual VTLs in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace, MRO, or component repair experience.
  • Experience with grinding, jig boring, Bridgeport milling, or Prototrack equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and other CNC machining equipment to repair, modify, and manufacture aerospace components.
  • Perform precision machining operations in accordance with engineering drawings, process travelers, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Make machine offsets, tooling adjustments, and program edits as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Cross-train on manual machining equipment, including VTLs, lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, Bridgeports, jig borers, and Prototrack equipment, as business needs require.
