We are currently seeking to fill the following position for our Buffalo location. EXPERIENCED CNC MACHINIST KTC offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical and dental options and benefit waiver payments if benefits aren’t needed, a vacation “bonus” when on vacation, in addition to providing uniforms, safety shoes and prescription safety glasses if needed. The CNC Machinist will report directly to the Machine Shop and Programming Manager. This position will be an integral part of our growing, state-of-the art, machine shop, with 5 new machines in the last 3 years and another scheduled to be installed next year. The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude who will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with 5 axis machines
• Must have experience with Mastercam programing and/or Heidenhain controls
• Must be able to read prints and do basic shop math

Nice To Haves

• 3 or more years preferred experience with 5 axis machines
• Trade school or higher level education preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, load and operate various 5 axis machines in cellular configuration
• Programmers are responsible for main programing, machinists monitor and modify programs as needed.
• Perform limited work with CNC vertical and horizontal boring mills
• Participate in lean, continuous improvement and six sigma work teams
• Be familiar with safety policies and procedures
• Work safe and participate in safety meetings
