About The Position

CSI Aerospace, Inc., a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist. The CNC Machinist performs all machining operations required to produce finished products. This role involves working from blueprints, specifications, job layouts, and written and/or oral instructions for the successful set-up and operation of CNC machines, dimensional inspection, data collection, and paperwork completion under limited supervision. This is a 1st Shift Position, Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, with overtime as necessary on Fridays.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Solidworks & Esprit programming software.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years related experience.
  • Hands-on experience through apprenticeships or on-the-job training is essential while proficient in CNC technology and metalworking.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary certificates or associate degrees in machining or manufacturing are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed drawings.
  • Monitor and adjust schedule to respond to internal production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot parts and machine problems.
  • Coordinate with other departments to achieve company needs, working closely with engineers, supervisors, and other machinists to ensure parts meet design intent.
  • Manage daily activities of machine shop personnel and related equipment.
  • Responsible for all of CSI’s tooling design and maintenance, which includes New Product Development and Production tooling.
  • Responsible for the overall talent management of the machine shop department, including interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Responsible for enforcing company policies of conduct and safety and initiating disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
