Mazak Integrex Machinist - 2nd Shift
About The Position

NOV Pressure Control Group is currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift with Mazak experience to join our team. The main responsibilities of this role include operating and controlling computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines, primarily Mazak Intergrex machine tools. This role requires the ability to edit and program in both Mazatrol and EIA programming. The machinist must be familiar with the live milling and fifth Axis capabilities of the Mazak Intergrex machines, ensuring high safety standards and quality workmanship. The machinist will be responsible for making their own setups using engineering drawings and work order instructions, and will be expected to train new employees and cross-train on other machine tools.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of basic math, blueprints, and routers.
- Knowledge of the proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools.
- 5 or more years’ relevant experience.
- Must be able to read and understand machine code terminology, G&M codes.
- Expert knowledge to operate and control computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines.
- Ability to edit and program in Mazatrol and EIA programming.
- Familiarity with live milling capabilities and fifth Axis on Mazak Intergrex machines.
- Confidence in operating fifth Axis.
- Ability to make own setups using engineering drawings and work order instructions.
- Ability to train new employees.
- Willingness to cross train on other types of machine tools.
- Familiarity with the set up and operation of midsize to large Mazak multi-axis mill turn machine tools.
- Capability of programming the tool path of these machines using Mazatrol at the machine site.
Responsibilities
- Operate and control computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines, mainly operating Mazak Intergrex machine tools.
- Edit and program in Mazatrol and EIA programming.
- Operate Mazak Intergrex machines with live milling and fifth Axis capabilities.
- Make own setups using engineering drawings and work order instructions.
- Train new employees and be willing to cross train on other types of machine tools.
- Produce quality parts on CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
- Operate, perform set-up changes, and conduct first article inspections on production runs utilizing CNC Machines.
- Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts.
- Identify problems before production runs, start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, and adjust machine controls as required.
- Read blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance, and tooling requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of dimensions and tolerances for tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and cutting tools.
- Prove out new programs and make simple edits of NC programs on numerically controlled machines.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Focus on various computer-controlled machines.
- Set up and operate midsize to large Mazak multi-axis mill turn machine tools.
- Program the tool path of these machines using Mazatrol at the machine site.
