CNC Machinist

LaborupLebanon, TN
$27 - $32Onsite

About The Position

We’re hiring skilled CNC Machinists to join a true high-precision machine shop. You will work with some of the best equipment around, ranging from 5-axis mills and horizontal mills to Swiss-style lathes, machining complex parts to exacting tolerances. In this role, you’ll own the setup and operation of high-mix, low-volume production runs. We are looking for strong machinists who want to learn, grow, and take their craft to the next level. You are not expected to walk in on day one with all the skills required to run every machine—that’s exactly why we offer an extensive, 2+ month on-site training and onboarding program.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of CNC milling and/or lathe experience
  • Proven ability to perform independent machine setups and fixture changeouts.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to understand and follow complex work instructions.
  • Proven ability to hold incredibly tight tolerances
  • Proficiency with standard measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gages, depth gages, pin gages, and basic CMM operation.
  • Highly reliable on a daily basis with the ability to adhere to the standard schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in highly regulated industries (Medical, Aerospace, Automotive, Military) or an ISO 9001 environment.
  • 5-axis milling experience and proficiency with Robodrill, Makino, Mikron, or DMG Mori equipment.
  • Very strong GD&T skills and experience with CMM dimensional reporting.
  • Proven stability with a tenure of greater than 2–3 years at previous employers.
  • Technical/trade school certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform independent setups and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis mills, mill-turn lathes, or multi-spindle lathes in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
  • Install specified collets, bushings, cams, and gears; load bar stock; and control or operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
  • Manage locating fixtures in setup, adjust tool positions, change tools, and utilize tool monitoring systems.
  • Read part prints and job orders for dimensions, cutting speeds, feed rates, and depth of cuts, while maintaining process control tools (such as SPC).
  • Perform first piece sample inspections and continuous monitoring using standard gages, CMMs, and advanced vision systems (Keyence).
  • Accurately complete dimensional reports and perform data collection in our MRP system (Epicor).
  • Maintain machine lubricants and coolants, perform daily operator maintenance, and keep your work area clean and organized.
