About The Position

Kennametal is hiring CNC Machinists for a precision manufacturing facility producing components for the industrial equipment industry. The role uses advanced 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC equipment to manufacture parts with extremely tight tolerances. The company offers a dedicated training center, paid skill development, cross-training across machines and processes, and opportunities to advance into higher-paying technical roles. Experienced machinists and recent TCAT machining program graduates with strong fundamentals are welcome.

The position is hiring for first and third shifts. First shift is 7 a.m.–3 p.m., Monday through Friday; third shift is 11 p.m.–7 a.m., Monday through Friday. Compensation is listed as $26–$32 per hour total compensation, comprising a $26–$29 per hour base rate and a $3 per hour third-shift differential.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of CNC machining experience or recent graduation from a machining program.
• CNC setup experience.
• Blueprint-reading skills.
• Basic GD&T knowledge.
• Precision measuring experience.
• Mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete machine setups and prepare machines for production.
• Operate multiple CNC machines during each shift.
• Verify parts meet dimensional and visual quality standards.
• Measure parts using precision inspection equipment.
• Make tool-wear and dimensional offsets as needed.
• Diagnose machining issues and maintain stable production.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
