About The Position

Kennametal is hiring CNC Machinists for a precision manufacturing facility producing components for the industrial equipment industry using advanced 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC equipment. The role involves tight-tolerance machining and offers training, paid skill development, cross-training across machines and processes, and opportunities to advance into higher-paying technical roles. Experienced machinists and recent TCAT machining program graduates with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply.

Compensation is listed as $26–$32 per hour total compensation, including a base rate of $26–$29 per hour and a $3 per hour shift differential for third shift. Hiring is for first shift, 7 a.m.–3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and third shift, 11 p.m.–7 a.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of CNC machining experience or graduation from a recent machining program.
• CNC setup experience.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Basic GD&T knowledge.
• Precision measuring experience.
• Mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Safe work practices.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machining.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete machine setups and prepare machines for production.
• Operate multiple CNC machines throughout each shift.
• Verify parts meet dimensional and visual quality standards.
• Measure parts using precision inspection equipment.
• Make tool-wear and dimensional offsets as needed.
• Diagnose machining issues and maintain stable production.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
