About The Position

This CNC Machinist 2nd shift position offers a consistent 4-day workweek (Monday–Thursday) with four 10-hour shifts, giving you every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. You would have the flexibility to choose a start time of 2:00 PM or later, allowing you to build a schedule that best fits your lifestyle, family commitments, or personal preferences. Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • 0+ years machining experience using mills, lathes, and/or grinders (for Machinist I)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience OR technical diploma or Associates degree in relevant field and 2+ years’ experience (for Machinist II)
  • 8+ years of relevant experience OR technical diploma or Associates degree in relevant field and 6+ years’ experience (for Machinist III)

Responsibilities

  • Operate machine tools such as CNC and/or manual lathes, milling machines, and/or grinders to produce metal parts.
  • Perform setups in accordance with instructions.
  • Read and comprehend G and M code and programs.
  • Check parts during runs with the appropriate gages.
  • Inspect all finished products for accuracy to ensure product quality meets company standards.
  • Report any non-conforming or defective material immediately to a supervisor.
  • Generate programs or edits existing programs as required.
  • Review programs for accuracy.
  • May be required to operate multiple machines or functions internal to primary operations as circumstances permit.
  • Accurately logs direct and indirect time to data collection software.
  • Maintain safe operations of all machine tools and equipment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exemplify Kingsbury’s safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and acts as a safety ambassador.
  • Attends all company required trainings and meetings. (ie safety and department meetings)
  • Complete special projects, continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
