About The Position
McWilliams Forge, now part of PCC since 2008, is a growing company that supports the aerospace industry by servicing local and regional aircraft. We are seeking a skilled machinist familiar with turning machines to join our team.
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing experience (3+ years)
- Willingness to learn
- Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
- Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
Nice To Haves
- CNC programming experience (G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.)
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines)
- Load programs, install tooling, and set work offsets
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and supervisors to improve processes
