About The Position

Vestcom, an Avery Dennison Company, is seeking a CNC Machinist who acts as a "Technical Pilot" with a "zero-defect" mindset and a deep curiosity for how things work. This role offers autonomy to own your workstation and support to grow technical skills. The shift is 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with a 4-day work week, providing 3 days off. Comprehensive medical, 401K matching, and paid time off are provided starting Day 1.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 3-5 years of hands-on CNC experience or equivalent training.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and hand/power tools.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to stand for 75% of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE.

Nice To Haves

• A Technical Certificate or Associate’s Degree in CNC Machining is highly preferred.
• Familiarity or working knowledge of G-code is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Vertical Machining Centers to create complex, high-tolerance parts.
• Use machine manuals, meters, and diagnostic skills to identify and fix issues.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints to manufacture profiles involving radiuses, angles, and varied tangent points.
• Perform light maintenance and cleaning on equipment to ensure peak performance and a safe environment.
• Support plant-wide facility projects and assist team members across the shop as needed.
