CNC Machinists (Milling), 2nd Shift, Sign On Bonus
About The Position
Riverside Machine & Engineering is hiring CNC Machinists for its Milling Department. The company provides precision machining for medical, aviation, space, and defense customers and has high-demand vacuum aluminum brazing capabilities supporting long-term aerospace and defense projects. This is a direct-hire opportunity with hourly base pay of $20–$32, plus a second-shift differential; compensation depends on skills, experience, and level (I, II, or III). A $3,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available. The position works second shift Monday through Thursday, 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m., with a 10% shift differential. Overtime is available. Riverside offers training and shop-floor support, including simplified work instructions for GD&T, and a career path from Machinist I to II to III and Setup/Programmer. The shop is described as clean and safe. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is not available.
Requirements
- CNC experience; candidates at all experience levels are welcome.
- An associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills.
- Read blueprints, GD&T, and job routings.
- Load and verify programs and manage tooling and offsets.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Run multiple machines when cycle times allow.
