CNC Machinist – 5 Axis – 2nd Shift

Carlson Tool & Manufacturing is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift 5-Axis CNC Machinist to join their growing team. Requirements
- Proficiency in operating 5 Axis Machining Centers
- Strong programming skills
- Ability to read and interpret part prints and technical drawings
- Proficient in calculating dimensions and tolerances using mathematical skills and precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Capable of machining precision parts from start to finish
Responsibilities
- Support the manufacturing of high-quality parts including engine components, mold tooling, complex mechanisms, enclosures and more.
- Set up, program, and operate 5-Axis Machining Centers.
- Review part specifications and requirements.
- Setup work piece, create machining center sequence and tool selection.
- Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications.
- Inspect and validate your own work using precision measuring equipment.
- Complete short-run jobs with frequent changeovers and tool adjustments.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
