About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. This role involves operating CNC mills and lathes to machine parts according to specifications. The position requires light-duty lifting, using precision measuring equipment, and operating computer systems to access instructions. Responsibilities include checking and filling lubricating fluid, and maintaining the work area and machinery. Prior experience with Lathe or Milling operations is preferred. The ideal candidate must be proficient in using micrometers, calipers, t-gauges, bench and disc sanders, and horizontal and vertical bandsaws.

Requirements

Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
Ability to stand or walk an entire shift (approx. 8-10 hours).
Ability to use handheld tools such as Hammers, Screwdrivers, Disc Sanders, Wrenches, Tape Measures, Micrometers, Calipers, etc.
Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and t-gauges.
Proficiency in using bench and disc sanders.
Proficiency in using horizontal and vertical bandsaws.
Sufficiently operate computer systems to access instructions/specs and produce a quality product.

Prior Lathe or Milling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Install vises, jigs, fixtures, and heavy work pieces onto the mill or lathe for machining.
Operate CNC mills and lathes to remove material from parts according to specified accuracy.
Use precision measuring equipment with both hands to accurately machine parts.
Operate computer systems to access instructions and specifications.
Check and fill lubricating fluid as necessary.
Clean and maintain mill, lathe, and work area as needed and at the end of each shift.
Perform Lathe Operations including holding parts, tooling/sharpening, setup, cutting speeds and feeds, 4-jaw chuck, precision machining (.0001), and cutting threads.
Perform Milling Operations including use of mill, attachments, cutters and holders, cutter RPM and feed rates, milling flat surfaces, squaring parts, milling grooves, drilling, tapping, boring, using a dividing or indexing head, and setting up angles.
