About The Position

Specialty Tooling Systems (STS) is looking to add a CNC Machinist to their night shift team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for running the Okuma Bridge Mill. In general, the CNC Machinist produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.

Requirements

  • Experience with 5 axis mill
  • Experience with Mazak, YCM, Hurco, or Okuma Mills
  • A well rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds.
  • High school or equivalent education.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read and speak English.

  • Work NC programming software

Responsibilities

  • Download programs and MDI (Manual Data Input) as needed.
  • Ability to perform your own programming and running your details.
  • Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required.
  • Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results.
  • Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration.
  • Keep work area clean.
  • Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.
  • Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.
  • Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.
