About The Position

Direct Hire CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality steel components that meet customer specifications and tight tolerances. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards. This is a 1st shift 8a-4p M/F and pay is $37K-$73K BOE.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating CNC machines (turning or milling preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of machining tolerances and precision measurements
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school or GED
• 2 Years experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with steel materials and machining processes preferred
• 2+ years CNC machining experience
• Experience machining alloy steels, stainless steel, or hardened materials
• Experience with G-code editing or machine programming
• Familiarity with Fanuc or similar CNC controls

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines
• Interpret blueprints, routers, and engineering drawings
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures
• Monitor machining operations to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
• Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
• Make adjustments to machine settings to maintain tolerances
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
