Requirements

Demonstrated proficiency in the set-up and operation of CNC machine centers or boring bars with minimum supervision.
Knowledgeable in the proficient and safe use of all required set-up and inspection equipment.
Ability to write CNC milling programs from a blueprint.
Ability to use inspection and measuring instruments including mics, bore gauges, calipers.
Ability to hold close tolerance work.
Ability to use simple shop math for checking speeds and feeds, surface footage, etc.
Ability to follow written set-up sheets and verbal set-up instruction.
Ability to use all support equipment for set-ups and inspecting parts.
Understand G&M codes.

Nice To Haves

Ability and willingness to learn GibbsCam software or conversational “at machine” programming.

Responsibilities

Set-up and operation of CNC machine centers or boring bars with minimum supervision.

Determine speeds and feeds to produce required product in accordance with acceptable standards of performance, quality, and safety.
Write CNC milling programs from a blueprint.
Use inspection and measuring instruments including mics, bore gauges, and calipers.
Hold close tolerance work.
Use simple shop math for checking speeds and feeds, surface footage, etc.
Follow written set-up sheets and verbal set-up instructions.
