This role involves setting up and operating manual and CNC machines under supervision. The machinist will read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings, performing machining operations from drawings and written work instructions. Responsibilities include measuring and inspecting finished parts, utilizing basic mathematical skills for measurements, documenting production data, and reporting deviations. The employee will assume responsibility for their part quality, use standard and customer measuring equipment, and adhere to quality processes including in-process inspections. Routine maintenance and cleaning of machines, maintaining a clean work area, and loading/unloading products and fixtures are also key duties. Safety adherence, reporting nonconforming parts, collaborating with team members, and ensuring shift continuity are essential. The role requires obtaining job assignments and performing other duties as assigned.
