About The Position

The CNC Machinist operates CNC mills and lathes to produce parts according to process documentation, potentially operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously. This role involves setting up jobs, performing inspections using various measuring tools, collecting data, performing operator maintenance, diagnosing and correcting equipment issues, de-burring or reworking parts, and making recommendations for process optimization. The position also requires maintaining a clean workstation to 5S standards and adhering to all safety and company policies.

Requirements

2+ years of successful essential duty related experience, including operation of CNC controlled relevant equipment.
Firm understanding of machining center theory, including x, y and z axis, along with edge and centerline pickup.
Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Blueprint reading skills to GD&T standards
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Windows and MS Office skills.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Must be a United States Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce the required number of parts according to process documentation.
Operate multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously.
Correctly setup jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner.
Perform 1st piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges and CMM equipment according to process documentation.
Perform data collection and communication tasks in JobBOSS and other applications.
Perform operator maintenance.
Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues.
Perform de-burr or rework of work in-process.
Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes.
Maintain workstation to 5S standards.
Perform all work according to PAC safety standards.
Comply with all PAC policy and procedures.
