About The Position

Operates Okuma CNC Milling & Turning machines under the direction of the area supervisor or Lead Person. This position is 100% on site, Monday through Friday with overtime available (1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm ET).

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

0-2 years CNC machinist experience
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
Basic mechanical ability.
Experience with Okuma CNC machines and Fanuc controls
Experience operating in a cellular manufacturing environment
Prior experience using precision measuring instruments
Exposure to aerospace or tight-tolerance manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

Performs set-ups and operates Okuma CNC mill & turn machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
Makes all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to Company policy.
Performs duties always exercising good machining practices.
Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
Assists new and less experienced operators as requested.
Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.
