About The Position

KMM Group is hiring experienced CNC Machinist Setup Operators for 2nd and 3rd shift at their precision manufacturing facility in Hatboro, PA. This role involves producing complex, mission-critical components for industries such as medical devices, aerospace systems, defense applications, space exploration, and high-tech manufacturing. The work requires attention to detail and may involve CNC milling, Swiss machining, or CNC mill-turn equipment. The facility is equipped with advanced machinery and technology.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
Experience setting up and operating at least one of the following: CNC milling machines, CNC Swiss machines, CNC lathes, CNC mill-turn centers, Multi-axis CNC equipment
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T, including true position, parallelism, flatness, concentricity, profile, and feature control frames
Strong knowledge of tooling, speeds and feeds, offsets, workholding, and fixture setup
Experience machining stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, or similar difficult-to-machine materials
Comfortable performing in-process inspection and documenting quality checks
Must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid Green Card (ITAR Requirement)
Must execute a Restrictive Covenant Agreement (NDA)

Nice To Haves

Technical school, vocational training, apprenticeship, or machining certification
Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controls experience
Mastercam experience
Experience with pallet systems and automation
Experience in ISO 13485, AS9100, FDA-regulated, ITAR, aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing
Medical, aerospace, defense, or precision contract manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC equipment including milling machines, Swiss automatics, CNC lathes, and mill-turn centers
Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and GD&T requirements
Machine high-precision components from materials such as stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and other high-performance alloys
Perform offsets, tool changes, tool selection, fixture setup, and process adjustments
Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, Keyence systems, and CMM inspection tools
Complete in-process inspections and verify parts meet tight tolerances
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and improve processes
Support production machining, prototype work, and continuous improvement efforts
Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas in a high-precision manufacturing environment
