Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of related CNC machining experience
  • Two (2) years of experience with multi-axis machines
  • Two (2) years of CNC programming experience (desired)
  • Proficiency in CNC programming software, preferably NX (versions 10–2306) or ESPRIT
  • Experience with one or more of the following CNC platforms: Tsugami, DMG Mori, or Okuma
  • Working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, OSP, or other CNC controls
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T interpretation per ASME Y14.5M-1994
  • Demonstrated ability to provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback
  • Proficiency with personal computers and standard business software
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined or restricted areas, and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Mazak, Haas, Mori Seiki, or Hermle equipment
  • Tooling and fixture design experience
  • Multi-axis turning and/or mill-turn experience
  • Knowledge of post processing methods including heat treat, brazing, laser welding, deburr, cleaning, and penetrant testing
  • CMM programming and/or operation experience
  • Conversational programming capability at the machine control
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize lights-out CNC programs for automated, high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Deliver appropriately tailored machining solutions to support development, prototyping, and research efforts
  • Define and document setup sheets, machining processes, and work instructions
  • Create, maintain, improve, and manage the full lifecycle of machine programs within electronic configuration management systems
  • Identify optimal machining strategies from raw material selection through final part completion
  • Identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods, or refine existing ones, to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize production schedules
  • Operate, optimize, and maintain CNC machining assets to ensure peak performance and availability
  • Provide critical Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback and recommend design improvements to engineering teams
  • Maintain a 5S mindset with proactive tooling and workspace management
  • Safely work with hazardous systems, chemicals, and high-tempo operations in accordance with all safety protocols
