Prince Industries is seeking a CNC Machinist II to operate CNC machinery to manufacture metallic and non-metallic parts. This role operates under minimal supervision and requires a self-sufficient individual with a basic understanding of cutting tools and CNC operations. Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of CNC milling machines and operations.
  • Familiarity with MAZAK, HAAS, Fanuc, and Mori Controls.
  • Understands and can function using M and G codes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using measuring instruments and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach during the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
  • Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
  • Frequently required to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated in the specific work area assigned.
  • Only U.S. persons—defined as U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), and U.S. nationals—are eligible for this position due to ITAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree or certification in CNC machining is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in CNC machining

Responsibilities

  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints.
  • Properly and safely loads and unloads raw materials.
  • Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
  • Powers on and operates CNC lathes and mills with minimal assistance.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of cutting tools.
  • Properly chooses/uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Understands and performs basic tool wear offsets.
  • Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
  • Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment.
  • Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department.
  • Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
  • Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management.
  • Attends scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful input.
  • Communicates honestly, professionally, and respectfully with others and demonstrates effective listening skills.
