CNC Machinist II
About The Position
The CNC Machinist II sets up, adjusts, checks out programming, and operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications. The work requires considerable skill, broad knowledge of machining techniques, and familiarity with CNC operational procedures. Operators may run more than one machine at a time. The role works from programming instructions, operational data, and machine setup instructions that define tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations, and console settings. The machinist checks parts for conformance to specifications. This is a Monday–Thursday position with hours from 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The anticipated starting pay range is $30.24 to $40.50; the exact rate may depend on knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education. The position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Kurt Workholding is a division of Kurt Manufacturing, a 100% employee-owned company based near Minneapolis, Minnesota. The facility includes multiple workstations, production lines, integrated automation, and in-house design, engineering, production, assembly, and shipping.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Ability to perform metric conversions.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings.
- Broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC operational procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- 4 or more years of related experience.
