About The Position

Air Squared Manufacturing, Inc. is an OEM manufacturer of scroll type compressors, vacuum pumps and expanders for the medical, aerospace, fuel cell and power generation industries. Air Squared offers exciting career opportunities working on projects including NASA MOXIE, Leading Electric and Autonomous Vehicle OEM, DOE Clean Energy initiatives ranging from nuclear fusion and the Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-e), and other cutting-edge projects. We are looking for a CNC Machinist I (one for our 1st shift and one for our 4th shift) who would be responsible for setting up and running Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, as well as being responsible for making changes/edits to the program as needed.

Requirements

• MUST SUBMIT RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED
• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating and setting-up CNC mills and/or lathes utilizing conversational programming (required)

Responsibilities

• Make program adjustments as needed
• Read and interpret technical drawings to determine machine set-up and production methods
• Use inspection equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers and various gauging
• Verify conformance of finished first article to specifications, making necessary adjustments and conducting subsequent inspection of work pieces to keep output at desired quality level
• Complete essential documentation as required
• Perform and document preventative maintenance as needed
• Deburr metal parts after they have been machined
• Assist in shipping preparation, such as packaging, shipping and receiving as need
• Other tasks and duties as assigned
