About The Position

The CNC Machinist I is responsible for operating and maintaining assigned machines for production, performing Statistical Process Control (SPC) on all parts, and changing tools as needed to ensure conforming parts. This role also involves supporting production by de-burring parts, inspecting parts using various equipment, and communicating status updates at shift change. Additionally, the CNC Machinist I will train others on inspection equipment and follow all work instructions, safety requirements, and protect company confidential information.

Requirements

  • Must have 3+ years related experience.
  • Demonstration of basic machining skills either observed in the shop or evaluated by skills assessments.
  • Must be able to use microscope for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Microscope experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain assigned machines for production.
  • Perform SPC on all parts that are running in the work centers.
  • Change broken/dull tools and perform all offsets as required to keep the machine producing conforming parts.
  • Keep up with all part de-burring that is part of the work center operation.
  • Inspect parts using microscopes, tool maker's scope, micrometers, OGP, gage pins, thread gages, indicators, calipers or other equipment.
  • Record inspection data in the data collection system.
  • Provide written communication at shift change for status update.
  • Train others to use inspection equipment that pertains to the job being run.
  • Follow all work instructions.
  • Protect Donatelle confidential information and Intellectual Property.
  • Follow safety requirements as outlined in the safety manual.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
