About The Position

CNC machinists work with computer numeric controlled (CNC) heavy machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic, or other materials. Computer numeric controlled equipment is precision machinery that cuts, grinds, or drills into the material. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Requirements

  • Ability to use and interpret measurements of calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to work with blueprints.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in set-up and operation of CNC Lathe primarily for the threading of API 8rd tubulars.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area to reflect a positive image of themselves and the company.
  • Inspect and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed by supervisors, managers, and the safety manager. Participate in mandatory safety or PPE training and notify their supervisor when new PPE is necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and groomed personal appearance to reflect a positive image of themselves and the company.
  • Use and interpret measurements of calipers and micrometers.
  • Work with blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on equipment as necessary.
  • Understand a worker’s right to stop work when they feel their own or other’s personal safety is jeopardized.
  • Accept other duties or assignments as deemed necessary by business needs.
