This role is responsible for producing quality parts on CNC machines in a timely, safe, and efficient manner, under the direction of a supervisor or experienced machinist. The position involves operating CNC machines, performing set-up changes, and conducting first article inspections. Key tasks include loading parts, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, making simple edits, deburring, and inspecting parts for conformance to requirements. The machinist will also identify and address potential problems before and during production runs, adjust machine controls as needed, and maintain knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions. Additionally, the role requires proving out new programs, making simple edits to NC programs, and performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment. The position also includes other work-related tasks as assigned and adherence to company and HSE policies.
