About The Position

Performs set-ups, operations, and minor maintenance of one or more CNC machining centers. Has attained full proficiency in machining operations. Able to make adjustments and measure parts effectively within .001”.

Requirements

Due to U.S. export control laws and regulations (ITAR), applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or otherwise qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.62).
Employment is contingent upon verification of eligibility to access export-controlled information.
Must be available to work second shift core hours (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM), including overtime and weekend hours as needed to support production requirements.
High school diploma or GED required
5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC and/or manual machining equipment
Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings, including GD&T
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
Ability to read, write, and speak English

Responsibilities

Perform machine set-up/changeover on CNC and/or manual mills, lathes, and drill presses to produce the required product or components by making offset adjustments to meet product specifications
Perform first time set-up of equipment for new products through programming, tool setting, and offset adjustments.
Must have good Quality awareness to identify discrepancies while machining.
Perform manual production operations as required, e.g., load and unload parts, deburr and clean if necessary.
Visually and dimensionally inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify proper workmanship standards are being met.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities in accordance with machine operation manual or machine maintenance work instructions.
Maintain neat and orderly work areas and comply with all safety rules.
Follow 5S company standards.
