About The Position

As a CNC Operator, you play an important role in supporting ETE REMAN's remanufacturing operations by operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment used to machine, modify, and prepare transmission components for production. This position is responsible for safely operating equipment, maintaining quality standards, inspecting components, and ensuring production goals are met. Your day will be spent operating CNC machinery, loading and unloading parts, performing inspections, maintaining workflow, and supporting departmental objectives. Success in this role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Ability to properly read and use gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate production records.
  • Mechanical background; machine shop, manufacturing, or automotive experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with tooling, fixtures, measuring devices, and machining equipment.
  • Must be 18 years old; high school diploma preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong quality awareness and attention to detail.
  • Willingness and understanding that you will get dirty at times and may work with oils, lubricants, coolants, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8+ hours per day in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have a Can-Do Attitude with good time management, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, and maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC equipment according to established work instructions, specifications, and procedures.
  • Load and unload components, materials, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Read, understand, and follow detailed work instructions and process documentation.
  • Inspect parts for wear, damage, defects, and overall quality.
  • Perform dimensional and visual quality inspections using gauges and measuring instruments.
  • Verify completed work meets established quality standards before moving parts to the next operation.
  • Monitor machine performance and report quality, tooling, or equipment concerns.
  • Maintain an even workflow and support production schedules.
  • Assist with tooling changes, machine cleaning, and basic machine maintenance activities.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
  • Assist others within the department and support cross-functional production activities as needed.
  • Follow directions from supervisors and managers and proactively support departmental goals.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
