This role is for a CNC Machine Operator within the Trantorque Operations team, responsible for manufacturing quality Trantorque products.

Requirements

  • Has a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience (1–3 months preferred).
  • Is detail-oriented and comfortable using measurement tools.
  • Has previous CNC operating experience
  • Can read and comprehend technical documents and work orders.
  • Is committed to safety and continuous improvement.
  • Works well in a team environment and communicates effectively.
  • Is adaptable to changing priorities and open to learning new processes.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a positive attitude.
  • Is willing to grow and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate will manufacture quality Trantorque products by performing preset, set-up and operation of CNC lathes and PLC and/or CNC secondary machines; finish, assemble, package and perform material handling duties.
  • Perform visual inspection to meet product quality requirements.
  • Operate CNC Machine Cell with minimal assistance. Measure parts, make offset wear adjustments, and change worn tools (in a timely manner).
  • Perform Vibratory and assembly operations with minimal assistance required to meet customer needs.
  • Read and interpret work orders and comments to ensure product accuracy.
  • Follow ISO work instruction standards after training and sign-off.
  • Adjust equipment and processes to meet product specifications.
  • Ask for help when needed to ensure successful production and minimize scrap.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace using the “6S” system.
  • Embrace changes in the work environment to support internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Adapt to shifting work priorities as needed.
  • Promote safety by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
