About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious CNC/SMC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operations, basic blueprint reading, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. This position is for the 3rd Shift: 10:00pm to 6:15am. Training on 1st and/or 2nd shift is REQUIRED for up to 4-6 weeks or until training has been completed.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and handle materials up to 45 lbs.
  • Basic understanding of weight scales and measurements.
  • Familiarity with CNC machine operations and interfaces.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and hazardous material handling.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Load raw materials (up to 45 lbs) into the CNC/router machine cradle.
  • Operate cutting machines and mold press equipment to support the Assembly Department.
  • Learn and navigate the machine’s LCD interface and screen functions.
  • Set up and operate production machines following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Accurately record production data, including good and scrap parts.
  • Use hand tools such as screwdrivers and drill guns for assembly tasks.
  • Maintain inventory of products at workstations.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
  • Identify and report product defects to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
  • Maintain safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards.
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate task completion.
  • Start, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  • Understand and follow MSDS guidelines for handling hazardous materials.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic product quality issues.
  • Report safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to management.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
