About The Position
Operate CNC Swiss lathe machines to fabricate production parts. This role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing machine performance, ensuring parts meet specifications, and making necessary adjustments to tools and offsets. The operator will be responsible for reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and safely loading/unloading machines. Daily cleaning and light maintenance of machines are also part of the job, along with strict adherence to safety procedures and quality policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Hands on operating experience in CNC Swiss lathe machining, Tsugami, Star, or Citizen machines
- Experience holding tight tolerances.
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbal and written
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with precision equipment and products
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Nice To Haves
- Tech school training preferred.
- Set up CNC experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Swiss lathe machines.
- Trouble shoot and diagnose machine performance and ensure produced parts meet specification.
- Make appropriate offsets and adjust tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Properly use calipers, verniers, and thread gauges.
- Properly and safely load and unload machines.
- Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machines.
- Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Utilize and abide by all safety procedures.
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
