About The Position

As a Level II Machine Operator, you’ll be part of the manufacturing team producing fluid-system components that meet high quality standards. This role is suited to an entry-level machinist who is eager to learn, can work independently, maintains production quality, recognizes when additional support is needed, and focuses strongly on safety.

The position offers opportunities to build technical knowledge and gain experience operating a variety of machines to produce different parts. The work takes place in a clean, modern, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment, and the tools and gauges needed for the role are provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting fractions and decimals.
• Self-motivation and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work.
• Ability to maintain quality standards and focus on safety.
• Ability to work independently and recognize when additional support is needed.

Nice To Haves

• Machining experience or a mechanical background.
• Experience in a manufacturing production environment.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily shift start-up meetings and provide or receive shift handoff reports.
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to standard work instructions.
• Follow standard work instructions and quality plans to meet specifications.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment and other inspection tools.
• Monitor machine outputs, identify quality, machining, tooling, and process issues, and escalate them to support associates so production can resume.
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine machine care.
• Accurately document production activities and maintain manufacturing records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow safety procedures.
