About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator (HAAS) is an operations team member responsible for meeting customer quality and delivery requirements by operating CNC machining centers safely and efficiently. The role involves operating machining centers according to industry standards, editing programs, and setting up tooling. Duties also include deburring and packaging finished parts and moving products to appropriate locations using equipment such as forklifts. Company forklift training is provided. The role uses newer HAAS machining centers with integrated probing and network communications and handles parts ranging from less than 1/4 pound to 2,000 pounds.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience operating CNC milling centers with large parts in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Ability to edit programs and adjust fixture and cutter compensation, tool offsets, RPM and feed rates, and program details such as X-Y-Z locations.
• Overall understanding of optimizing CNC programs as needed.
• General computer skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of HAAS controls.
• Experience with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.

Nice To Haves

• A 2-year technical degree in machining is preferred.
