About The Position

HSM is a third-generation, privately held company founded in 1944, with 25 locations across the U.S. The company manufactures components for the furniture, bedding, transportation, packaging, automotive, and healthcare industries, and designs and builds automated production machinery.

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will help keep production running efficiently and safely by operating CNC machinery, processing materials according to production orders, and checking product quality. You will review production schedules, choose and enter programs into CNC control panels, and report defects or production issues. The role also involves supporting team goals and taking on additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read a tape measure and work with basic math, including decimals and fractions.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing or CNC experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery to cut and shape materials based on production orders.
• Review and prioritize daily production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Load materials and inspect them for quality before and after processing.
• Select and enter the correct programs into CNC control panels.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Identify and report defects or production issues.
• Support team goals and assist with additional tasks as needed.
