About The Position

Volt is hiring a CNC Machine Operator in Forest Park, Georgia. This full-time contract position involves setting up and operating CNC plasma or laser cutting machines, loading and running CNC programs, and ensuring materials and finished parts meet specifications. The operator monitors machine performance and product quality, measures and inspects finished parts, and troubleshoots minor machine issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with CNC machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and production drawings.
• Good math and measuring skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CNC plasma cutting systems, such as Vicon, Vulcan, or Hypertherm.
• Forklift experience or certification.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
• Experience with nesting software and CNC programming.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC plasma or laser cutting machines.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Load and run CNC programs.
• Check material size, type, and thickness before cutting.
• Monitor machine performance and part quality.
• Measure and inspect finished parts.
