About The Position
This role involves operating CNC machines, performing setups, quality inspections, and routine maintenance. The operator will be responsible for reading blueprints, understanding G and M code, managing tool and offset changes, and ensuring parts are produced within specified tolerances. The position requires the ability to multitask, operate multiple machines, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. A basic math test covering fractions and tape measure reading is required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Prior Machine Operation preferred
- CNC experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Read and understand blueprints
- Understand G and M code programs and make minor changes
- Understand wear offsets and change offsets accordingly
- Change tools in the machine and input tool height measurements
- Perform own prep set ups
- Hold +/- 0.010 tolerance
- Change fixtures and indicate fixture zero
- Practice safe work habits
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine
- Conduct quality inspection of parts produced using micrometers, calipers, gauges and other measuring equipment
- Pass a basic Math Test (Fractions and reading a tape measure)
- Multi task / Operate Multiple machines
- Follow all company work rules, company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including cleaning/maintaining equipment and work areas, and performing safety inspections
