Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-1 years’ minimum proven experience as a Machine Operator working in CNC machining/fabrication production environment required (Level I).
  • 1+ years’ minimum experience working in CNC machining/fabrication production environment required (Level II).
  • Basic shop math skills.
  • Knowledge of end mills, drills, reamers, and assessment of tool condition.
  • Capable of using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
  • Record SPC data with basic understanding of SPC.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Able to understand and Interpret SPC data and make recommendations (Level II).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision (Level II).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow standard safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Operate CNC machines to build production work order (load, unload, cleaning, and inspection parts).
  • Conduct in-process inspection of components to ensure conformity to quality requirements using precision measuring instruments and able to read and understand part drawings and basic GD&T.
  • Identify issues that may require adjustment of machine settings.
  • Perform accurate and timely job tasking, line clearance, and production reporting of work orders.
  • Operate part washer.
  • Monitor and update shop floor visual board.
  • Perform startup on CNC machines.
  • Support Level I Operator.
  • Rapidly recognize non-standard equipment/process performance.
  • Run multiple production part numbers on CNC machine with no supervision.
  • All other duties as assigned.
