CNC Machine Operator
About The Position
UEI® Group companies are worldwide industry leaders in the supply and manufacture of foil stamping and embossing products. We are passionate about using precision, artistic execution, and innovative efficiencies to reliably provide engraving and foils to our customers around the world. We specialize in brass engraving and are seeking a full time Vertical CNC Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable operating CNC equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This person must be dependable, flexible, and capable of managing shifting priorities throughout the workday. A strong attendance record is a must for this position. The hours for the full-time position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with Saturday shifts until noon when business demands require it. Requirements
- CNC Machine Operation: 1 year (Preferred)
- Reading and Following Data Sheets or Work Orders: 1 year (Preferred)
- Manufacturing or Production Environment: 1 year (Preferred)
- Hand Tools (hammers, deburring tools, etc.): 1 year (Preferred)
- Bandsaw Operation: (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Operating vertical CNC machines, including tool loading and program execution
- Reading and following job data sheets and machining specifications
- Using depth gauges to verify engraving depth and micrometers to check material thickness
- Using hand tools including hammers, deburring tools, and related shop equipment
- Safely operating a bandsaw
- Standing on your feet for the duration of an 8-hour shift
- Working Saturdays until noon when called upon
- Wearing required personal protective equipment at all times: steel toe boots, ear protection, and safety glasses
- Lifting brass sheets and other materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Adapting to a dynamic environment with frequently changing priorities
- Passing a drug screen and background check
