Requirements
- Must be able to work well alone or with partners, depending on need.
- Fabricator must be able to work closely with Supervisors, department leads, Engineers, Production Coordinator (scheduler) and warehouse personnel.
- Must practice good housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Must be forklift certified.
- Be able to do basic upkeep on machines such as lubricating, blade replacing, and other small adjustments.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools
Nice To Haves
- A CNC Router and CNC Plasma machine operator is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating a CNC router for aluminum and soft materials and well as a CNC plasma table for steel, and other materials for large and small parts.
- The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, can read blueprints, and understand how to optimize material yields through smart nesting techniques.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibilities include reading prints and work orders to determine specifications of parts and then creating and effectively nesting into programs for the CNC.
- Reads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performed
- Verifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Knowledge of basic math functions to order materials.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Computes dimensions and tolerances and measures and lays out work pieces
- Adjusts and sets up machine tools for use by machining tool operators
- Be able to complete basic upkeep on machines such as lubricating, blade replacing, and other small adjustments.
- Must comply with all LBT, Inc., safety policies, practices and procedures.
