CNC Machine Operator
About The Position
Rennscot MFG is seeking talented Machine Operators to join their growing team. This is an evergreen posting to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for various skill levels. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment to produce precision components that meet customer and quality requirements. Operators will follow work instructions, perform inspections, record production data, and collaborate with Production and Quality teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. Candidates will be considered for various machine operator positions based on their experience, technical skills, and business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to use hands and arms to operate machinery and handle materials.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the US Department of State.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing or CNC machining experience.
- Experience reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments is preferred for more advanced roles.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, travelers, and manufacturing documentation.
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
- Record production and quality information in ProShop ERP.
- Monitor machine performance and report equipment or quality issues.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to meet production schedules.
- Participate in training and continuously develop manufacturing skills.
