About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator II is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC type or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is located in Cortland, NY and is an on-site role. We are currently seeking CNC Machine Operators for both 2nd and 3rd Shift. 2nd Shift is Monday - Friday, 2:30PM – 10:30PM. 3rd Shift is Sunday - Thursday, 10:30PM – 6:30AM.

Requirements

High School Diploma, G.E.D. or Equivalent
18 months + of related CNC Machine Operator experience.
Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum, 8 hours.
Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Setup and operate all equipment in a related area to produce complicated components, subassemblies, and final assemblies from blueprints and work instructions, upload new programs or alterations and supply set-up sheets, deburr parts, sharpen tool and set-up tooling.
Work under the direction of supervisors, or more experienced personnel, with little supervision.
Maintain accurate records, and logs and collect any necessary data for use by Engineering, troubleshoot potential machine problems and recommend solutions.
