About The Position

Hypertherm Associates is seeking motivated individuals for their CNC Fundamentals Course to become CNC Machine Operators on the 3rd shift. This apprenticeship program, approved by the US Department of Labor, will provide comprehensive training in CNC Machine Operation. The initial 4-week course is conducted on the 1st shift (7 am to 3:30 pm), with potential for additional training on the 1st shift beforehand. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for producing machined parts for plasma cutting systems through machining, assembly, and packaging tasks in an assigned manufacturing area, following standard work instructions. This role offers significant career progression opportunities with 5 levels of Machine Operator across Technical and Mastery tracks, along with further technical training through HTTI and potential for academic credits towards an Associate's Degree through a partnership with the University of Phoenix.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
18 years of age or older
Comfortable working with current technology, including experience and familiarity using MS Office (Outlook/Excel) and Windows Operating Systems
A positive attitude
Ability and willingness to learn technical material in a school-like setting
Excitement about working with a team and within our collaborative ownership culture
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow and process instructions
Basic math understanding
Good written and verbal communication skills
Successful completion of a technical assessment
